About us
Thrax is a Catalan technology company specialising in connectivity and network infrastructure for places that fibre and wireless links cannot reach.
We work out of Granollers, in the Vallès Oriental, and serve all four Catalan provinces: remote farmhouses in the Berguedà or the Pallars, campsites and rural tourism in the Pyrenees and the Costa Brava, farms in the Segrià, industrial estates, building sites and boats.
We're not Starlink and we don't work for SpaceX. We're an independent company that installs Starlink for people who want it: we bring you the kit, install it, invoice in Spain and provide support in Catalan and Spanish.

The kits we install
Two kits for two situations: the Mini for a small house or portable use, and the Standard for most fixed installations. All of them support a longer cable, mounts and third-party routers. We bring the right one and leave it installed.

We don't charge the monthly service fee: you choose it and pay it with Starlink.

We help you sign up with Starlink, bring the kit, install it and leave the network running. Standard installation from 350 € + VAT in Catalonia, in a single visit.

We assess the site, find the spot with a clear view of the sky, and give you a fixed price. No cost.
Installation
We mount the dish with the right support, run the cable, configure the network and integrate your router. Up and running the same day.
Support
We stay as your point of contact: installation issues and maintenance, in Catalan or Spanish, talking to a real person.
Where we install
Catalonia without decent coverage isn't the exception: it's the Pyrenean valleys, inland Berguedà and Garrotxa, farmhouses in the Bages and Priorat, farms in the Segrià and coves along the Costa Brava. These are the jobs we get called for most.
Farmhouses and remote houses
The most common job: a house a couple of kilometres from the village, with 3 Mbps ADSL or nothing at all. Dish on the roof and running the same day.
Rural tourism and campsites
Group accommodation, Pyrenean campsites and Costa Brava lodgings that need wifi for guests and a POS system that won’t drop in August.
Agriculture and livestock
Farms in the Segrià, Noguera and Garrigues: remote-managed irrigation, sensors, farm cameras and field reports from your phone.
Construction and industry
Site cabins, industrial estates without a connection, and warehouses in isolated industrial land. Temporary or permanent connectivity, with a public IP if needed.
Boating and the Costa Brava
Recreational and professional boats with coverage while sailing and in port, from Portbou to the Ebro delta and beyond.
Energy and renewables
Solar and wind farms, mini power plants and measuring stations in mountain areas, with stable telemetry and remote access.

Starlink works anywhere in Catalonia: all the dish needs is a clear view of the sky. Our technical team goes out from the Vallès Oriental and covers all four provinces. The call-out is included in the quote, so you know the total before we set off.

One point of contact, not a call centre
We handle activation, installation and incidents from Granollers. When you call, the person who knows your installation picks up, in Catalan or Spanish.
Data security
The network is delivered encrypted with WPA2 and IPv6 enabled. If your business needs a VPN, network segmentation or your own router, we set it up during installation.
High-speed internet
Download speeds from 80 to over 400 Mbps depending on the plan, upload from 8 to 25 Mbps, and latency of 20 to 60 ms.
24-hour priority service
Customers on a priority data plan get network preference and consistently faster speeds.
Weather resistant
Starlink is built to withstand a range of weather conditions: it can melt snow and withstand sleet, heavy rain and strong winds.
Public IP address
Starlink's IPv4 address is assigned dynamically via DHCP. Starlink also supports IPv6 by default.

We provide personalised assistance, helping resolve technical issues, answer questions and ensure everything runs smoothly.
Unlimited locations
A business can have as many locations as it needs. Once the first service is set up, more locations are added from the portal and we manage them all together.
